Usually, I’d say something like this would be too good to be true, but in this case, there is a simple strategy you can use that will actually make you a better bass player. It’s not learning more scales, doing technique exercises or even getting better gear.

The first person I saw that really put this strategy into practice was a mentor of mine, Chris Fitzgerald. He would employ this strategy every single time he played. He’d play a gig with a recording device on his music stand, then on the drive home, he’d listen to the recording and critique his playing.
As a result, he was constantly using that feedback loop to improve his playing! This process of continual improvement is virtually guaranteed to make you a better bass player, as long as you don’t fall into either of the two traps that I mentioned in the lesson.
Remember – be kind to yourself when you go through this process. Imagine you were listening to your best friend’s playing and how you would approach talking to them about it.

Hey Misty – have you tried checking your ‘junk’ or ‘spam’ folders? Sometimes the verification emails get sent there mistake. I’ve checked on my end and the email has definitely been sent out.
