5 Disco Bass Lines (For An Epic Right Hand Workout)

Disco bass lines get a bit of a bad wrap…

Was there a good amount of questionable disco music?

For sure…

But did some of the songs have truly epic bass lines?

Heck yes!

Will you see me rocking the tighty whitey Travolta-style disco suit at Studio 54 this Saturday night?

Absolu…

Wait – actually, that’s a hard no. Lol

But there were some absolute gems that came out of the disco era; songs with truly epic disco bass lines.

And not only are these lines fun to play, they can also help ‘level up’ your plucking hand. 

Of course the disco octaves are a bit of a cliché, but actually playing them accurately and up to speed can be challenging.

Especially when you start adding in the 16ths as well. 

So today, I want to share 5 disco bass lines with you that start off very easy and get progressively harder and harder for the plucking hand. 

You’re probably very familiar with at least the first 3 songs, but there’s also one artist I snuck into the lesson that isn’t quite as well-known, but one I’m absolutely loving at the moment.
